I would like my model to be wearing something similar to this, with the use of dark clothing, and some parts may be leather. However my models clothing will not be as revealing as this as that is not the vibe that I am going for throughout my magazine. I like the use of dark clothing as I think it creates mystery and can be used as quite alternative clothing, to create different looks. I will not dress my model with heels as she is already fairly tall and could make her look taller than I want her to. My model also has dark long hair, which can be used well as a prop to do different poses. My model will be wearing a fair amount of make-up, similar style to what she has on the front page.
I would like my model to be doing a pose similar to this, with her hands on her hips and looking straight forward at the camera. When having a picture of a model with hands on her hips it portrays that she is strong and bold. It can also be extremely complimentary to the figure and shows all parts of the outfit that the model is wearing. I will try other similar poses and see whether they are effective or not, but I will stick to this sort of pose when taking photos.

Extra Photographic Research of Contents Page
This photo is closely related to how I want my model to pose. I want the headphones to be a large part of the photo to symbolise music, but I also want the models make-up to be clearly noticed. This woman's make up is fairly similar to how my models will be, however hers may be a little darker and a little more focused on the eyes. My models hair will not be too important as this will not be the main focus of the photo.

This is exactly how I will want the photo of my model to be set out on the page. I want almost only half of her face to be featured on the page as I think this can be quite effective and striking. The headphones are also a large part of the photo which is what I want. She is also pulling quite a serious face which is what I want my model to look like. The only fault of this photo is that the model is not wearing much make-up in this photo rather than my model will be wearing more make-up than this.

Extra Photographic Research of Front Page
This photo can largely relate to my music magazine and I think it would be successful in being the photo for the front cover. Her make up and hair is very bold and the expression and pose on her face is quite serious. She has a slightly 'rock'n'roll' and 'indie' look whilst also haveing quite a soft and warm face. Her lip colour contrasts with her hair colour and we can see that her lips are the main focus. I really like this photo as it has quite an edgy feel to it but also does not give off the wrong impression that my magazine would have a rock genre to it and is more mainstream indie music.
I think this photo is extrmely effective and would be good to use in many ways. Firstly her style and the clothes she is wearing give off the sort of image I would want to portray. The red lipstick and hat mix well together with her brown hair. The use of the prop of the guitar is also used effectively, as we can then see that the photo has a musical feel to it. The serious expression on her face portrays a manner that I would want to create with my model as I would not really want her to be smiling a lot, as this would take away focus from other parts of the photo.

Extra Photo Research
This picture is good as it focuses on the student doing the art work; the art work in the background makes the picture colourful and bold. She looks as if she is enjoying herself and is participating well in the class. The teacher also looks informative and as though she is enabling the student and helping her with her work. Although I do like this picture it is portrait and therefore not the right shape for my school magazine cover.
This picture is very good as it mainly focuses on the student but also includes the art work she is doing. She looks fairly serious but she is also enjoying the work. She also looks as if she is concentrating and is a hard-working student. Although the photo portrays a good student the colours are fairly boring. There is a pale background and what she is wearing is fairly bland. It implies the sense that a school may be quite strict and allow no fun or excitement in lessons. There is a professional background as we can see she is a school environment due to the computer in the background. I don’t think this photo would be sufficient for a front cover of a school magazine as it is not enticing enough and does not show enjoyment from the student.
This photo is extremely good in many ways. It gets both the whole of the artwork and the student in the photo. The piece of work is very colourful and artistic, and the student looks as if she is working very hard and has put a lot of effort into it. There is a professional background as we can see she is in an art room. This photo is very good for a school magazine cover and is effective as it is eye-catching and attractive. This is similar to how I would want my front page photo to look as I like the layout of it and how it focuses on both the student and the art work. This would be a good photo to use for the front cover of a school magazine as attractive and appealing and would entice a certain type of reader which is suitable for the type of magazine I’m making.
